...and today i was reminded why i'm doing this.Shelagh put Mike McKenzie (another transplantee)on to me and we met for coffee at the harbour café.It's when i speak to people who've also been through their own mill and show resilience and stoicicsm that i can't match,I realise why i'm doing this.If i can save one life, through Transplantation,or Sea Safety awareness then it's all been worth it.Fopr my part i've been fortunate to have had,a good boat, excellent crew,(not such good weather),fantastic scenery and wonderful people, how much better can it get!
Mike introduced me to Norman Anderson (yet another transplantee) and the pair of them managed to get a photographer down from the local Northern Scotland (and Moray) Post in two hours and a journalist on the phone in 10 minutes! The HM has now to get his article in as well!Keep up the good work lads!
Mike even offered to pick Krispin up from the train station.
Well, ready to go again and itching to get to the Canal.
Thanks for the calls Carmel and Annette and Tony, of course xxxx |
