seafood aftermath

Went for drinks on 'Rona' (36' Maxi, another nice swedish boat, except for the blocked holding tank!)and then for dinner at the marina restaurant.Had oysters to start(delicious), then seafood platters, wonderful scallops, salmon, mussels and langoustine, plus wine -came to £20 per head!Invited people onboard to finish of my ginger wine and crashed out.Poor Crispin, however, was very sick in the night and had to leave at the crack of sparrow to get the ferry. Had a lay-day today, cleaned the boat and managed to get water today, hurray!Told the man yesterday who washed his boat down that I'd heard a v.selfish person had done so.he didn't even have the ..... to admit his selfishness! We'd had no water now for 3 days. Woke this morning to bagpipes being played by another yachtie, think it was to commemerate the 'Piper Alpha' disaster. Wind from the NW and gusting 30knots,in marina! heard from Zoeh in Brighton Marina that there's a F10 blowing!Lovely British summer day. Decided i must bite the bullit and get a new syphon valve, the chewing gum on the top, works if i remember, otherwise the carpet in the galley gets soaked and the bilge fills slowly up with salt water -boring!next crew (Mary) arrives tomorrow early,so depending on weather we can leave early Thurs ,heading south for Craobh (Loch Melfort),or north for Tobermory.
