...engine situation just escalated today and I won't go into detail,or mention names,or swear online, but got to the end of my tether.Tony as usaul pacified me and made everything souns simple,as diesels actually are.It came to the crunch when I couldn't even turn the engine by hand.Thought it had siezed.Simply got the engineer to spend an hour sorting out thefuel filter and my leak (just by removing a washer and tightening things up) and freeing the flywheel from the started with a screwdriver (Just as Tony said).I disappeared and left the engineer with Richard,as we'd had a clash of personalities (to put it mildly).Anyway,we couldn't go far today as it was blowing a hooley out there. So, after our mini -trauma with the engine was over went to an indoor car-boot sale (I wondered why it was so called ,as there were no cars inside the concert hall)where I found and purchased a paperweight depicting Grace Darling ,the infamous lighthouse keepers daughter on the Farne Islands, who helped her father rescue many a poor soul. There is now a even museum to commemerate her bravery. She lived on the island and hardly ever went to the mainland. Hoping to set for Bangor tomorrow.Marina here have been great, apart from the top class facilities, including bath, the staff have been exemplery.Even telling me a boat had collided with my stern when it was blown in today. No damage though as I'm fendered up!Troon is very pleasant and pretty town, contrary to popular belief.
