The land was created...for Falmouth Week

The land was created for boats to visit. Atkinson. ..Wet land and many boats going nowhere! It's Falmouth Week and there are probably a thousand boats here!it's raining almost permanently and there's more strong winds, even gales to come after the weekend. Where are you? Amazingly beautiful classic racing yachts are here and the Pimms tent is a washout. The boat museum however, is heaving and it's fantastic (thank goodness for the parents). I met two RNLI Sea Safety colleagues (Keith Cowell and Bryn)by chance here and got roped in to helping out tomorrow with voluntary scrutineering for the races. We'll be looking at safety equipment such as,lifejackets and flares, though it will be tough to catch people ,after the races, before they jump off and head for the pub! Put my 'paper' swipe card in the electricity box and of course it didn't work! So tired of not having any time to myself, though it was dry last night and I slept the sleep of kings in the cockpit. Lovely town here though I find all the people slightly overpowering and crave a quite harbour where two or three boats get to know each other quite well in a short space of time.I miss Scotland and the North. Therefore, not looking forward to the Solent -may sail past..
