still in Brixham...

But love it here.Holiday town for ordinary people,no pretence.Once again waiting for the wind, but great gang on the quay here. Walked up to Berry Head yesterday and met a real lighthouse keeper.Interesting,as they are called 'attendants' now and I'm reading 'Stargazing'-still. Saw a lovely miniture bronze statue on a rock, with the inscription.'Look beyond the gloom and up to the sky'. Wonderful evening as we got back 'Vigilance' the Brixham sailing trawler was departing and we jumped onboard. Some of our neighbours were onboard too and the RNLI DLA (Deputy Launching Authority) was the skipper.Fantastic sail towards Exmouth and a red glowing moonrise over the harbour wall on our arrival back. Boys next door drunk again and tramping on the deck like fairy elephants! Everyone beginning to leave this morning,Escapade left me some homemade pickle and Gary had a shower onboard Andante. Our time is coming.Hope to depart 23.00 and ETA Weymouth 09.00.Wind WSW 5/6 decreasing 3/4 Moderate seas, visibility mod-good Portland will be interesting as we plan to go on the inside, close.Apparently we need to go close enough to 'spit on the land' as a fisherman told us!Waiting for tonight to depart, in order to catch a fair tide into Weymouth .Hate this waiting game.Tony on his way back and hopes to join me in Weymouth, particularly as he's nowhere else to go,in England!Plus, both of us broke.Brighton,or bust!
