Tone and I having a mini-holiday in Weymouth.Lovely views from the Nothe Fort.Richard has sent us on a mission to find the 'Gurka' restaurant!Jaimie,Craig and baby Lewis (after the island where he was conceived),from Brighton, turned up on the quay!They're here after a trip to the Channel Isles.I bought a lot of charts,pilots and tidal atlases from them before the trip.
Really tired and need to get back,but enjoying the beauty of the coast here.Too many people in the South though.
Watched and waited for the fantasamogoric handing over of the Olympic Torch from Bejing to Weymouth,it was pretty poor with pants sound quality from a large screen on the beach and the cannon went off aftert he yachts had returned to harbour!We were meant to perform 2 minutes of noise and our attempt with foghorns was pathetic as nobody seemed to know except a few of us what to do.Typically, a wasted opportunity. |
